Installing professional window film in your home or business has many benefits. It can keep cooling and heating costs down, allow sunlight to enter without the heat and brightness, lower the impact of harmful UV rays, reduce the fading of expensive furniture and inventory, keep glare off of computer screens and televisions, strengthen windows for safety and security, and provide inexpensive interior designs and privacy.
No; window tint film must be installed by a factory-trained, professional installer using highly specialized equipment and techniques. Without the proper tools and techniques, the films will most likely peel or bubble.
Window film is comprised of extremely thin layers of metal enclosed between two pieces of clear polyester plastic; this appears as tint. This technology has replaced previous tints which were created using dyes, which were known to fade and change color over time. These films have been developed to work with specialized adhesives that prevent bubbling for years and come with much more comprehensive warranties than dyed window films. The LLumar films we use have the best warranties in the business and are backed by the most cutting edge technology.
Unfortunately we don’t do tinting for automobiles.
Peeling (or delaminating) is not an issue with modern window films; when properly installed by a trained technician, this should not happen.
The films we use are extremely scratch-resistant and may be cleaned with common household cleaners, with cotton cleaning cloths, or non-abrasive paper towels. Using grainy or rough cleaners and hard or sharp metallic objects (scrapers) are not recommended as they can damage the film.
Because we use the most advanced and researched adhesive technology, bubbling is extremely uncommon. When installed by a professional installer, our products are covered by the best warranties in the business should this occur.
